What is gum disease?
Gum disease is the result of an imbalance of bacteria in the gums. Microscopic colonies form on the teeth and find their way into periodontal pockets—the spaces between the teeth and gums—creating a warm environment for further breeding and infection.
From there, the harmful bacteria are allowed to flourish and spread throughout the mouth and into the bloodstream. What starts as gum disease, also known as periodontal disease, can quickly lead to consequences for the body’s major systems.
And many people have no idea they have gum disease until the effects become chronic.

Indicators of gum disease include blood in the sink after brushing or flossing, bad breath and tender or inflamed gums. If any of these symptoms are present, it’s worth a free consultation.
An evaluation of your gum tissues includes a periodontal probing. The numbers indicate the severity of your gum infection. Any number above 4 can be cause for concern.
The good news is: you may be able to treat it effectively with The Perio Protect Method.
It's important to talk about. So we hired a spokesman.
Something worth talking about: the Perio Protect Method
Start the conversation you’ve been avoiding with your dentist.
It’s not that hard. It can affect your overall health. And with Perio Protect, it can be the difference between repetitive scraping and true relief.
Research shows that patients who complement their treatment plans with Perio Trays have significantly healthier gums with less bleeding and inflammation. [1] [2] [3] [4]
The patented Perio Trays from Perio Protect deliver disease-fighting antimicrobials deep below the gum line. And the results are as encouraging as they are indisputable.
You’ll see.

The benefits go beyond treating gum disease.
A tale of two trays.
One holds hard, sharp metal. The other holds gum massaging bubbles and bacteria-fighting gel you can administer to yourself.
For some reason, the latter sounds much more desirable. It’s easier and less invasive. And if nothing else, it’s well worth a conversation.

Treating gum disease can benefit your whole body.
The same pathogens that cause gum disease have been shown to contribute to heart disease.
Gum disease can also be an indicator of type 2 diabetes, blood clots, respiratory disease, colorectal cancer, preterm and low birth-weight babies and even Alzheimer’s.
Treating gum disease with the Perio Protect Method has been shown to reduce the presence of the most damaging pathogens by up to 90%. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Pathogens gain easy access to the bloodstream via the gums, leading to potential issues throughout your body.

The same antimicrobials that treat gum disease also deliver prescription-strength whitening benefits.
